Like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon growing in the heart of Melbourne, where each new step brings a more magical view than the last, staggering the imagination of the most discerning and worldly individual — that is what this project was all about. MAB and legendary architects from Freedman White created this dynamic new vision of living space. Our team’s job was to tell its story.
The team produced a story that combined video and animations. To accomplish this, we use actors with green screens and practical sets and then incorporate those into the 3d renderings and animations. This allows us to do release visual assets in stages. For example, we can do the 3d renderings, then from those, do the animations. Then we add the actors on green screens and place them into some scenes to do a short story. To produce the longer version with realistic interiors, we have a couple of options. Option 1: We get the contractor to build out a practical set of the kitchen in a studio. That way we can shoot those scenes and put out the longer story before the building construction has began. Option 2: We wait until the building is under construction and once we have a finished display suite, we shoot the actors again inside the suite. This gives the sales and marketing team another, more powerful assets to sell the remaining units.
